Analytics, only if you accept it: through Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager), browsing data is collected such as pages visited, visit duration, device, browser, approximate country and a cookie identifier. This data is not anonymous but pseudonymous. It is used to understand what is visited and to improve the site. Contact: if you write to me by email or through the contact form, I process your name, your email address and your message, only to reply to you. This site has no user registration; the private area is for the owner only. Technical logs: when the site requests data from the server (the blog or the trading lab, for example), the server records your IP address, the request and the time. They are used to keep the site secure: to stop abuse and unauthorised access attempts.
Analytics is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI), which you give with the “Accept” button in the cookie banner. Contact is based on your consent when you send me the message. Technical logs are based on the legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Analytics data is kept for the period configured in Google Analytics, at most 14 months, and its cookies expire after 2 years. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to reply and, at most, one year after the last communication. Backups are kept for 90 days, and technical logs for at most 30 days.
Analytics data is processed by Google as a data processor and may be transferred to the United States. That transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google is certified. The site is hosted on my own server rented from Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). Database backups are stored encrypted on GitHub (GitHub Inc., United States, certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework); only the owner can decrypt them. Email is handled by Gmail (Google). I do not sell or share data with anyone else.
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to jpalapuig@gmail.com. You can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. If you believe the processing does not comply with the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
This website is not aimed at children under 14. If you are under 14, please do not send me any personal data.
